CORONATION Street’s Maria Connor looks set to get close to Adam Barlow in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.
After realising that Aidan Connor wanted to see her AND Eva Price at the same time, Maria, played by Samia Longchambon, will be seen seeking solace with Ken Barlow’s son.
However, it doesn’t look like the couple will live happily ever after.
In fact, he’ll only serve as a distraction after Samia recently revealed to OK! Online: “It’s just to make Aidan jealous.”
“He [Aidan] doesn’t want her but he doesn’t want anyone to have her and her being with Adam makes him realise that I think.
“She’s just being reckless and not thinking about anything really.
“She sees Adam as a distraction to make Aidan jealous.”

And it appears that it will work.
“Yeah it definitely does the trick,” she added.
Despite his character being against the idea of anyone getting close to Maria, actor Shayne Ward explained that it needs to happen.
“It’s good and it’s nice,” he said.
“It’s a wake up call to Aidan because he’s like, ‘Don’t be coming on my territory with your good hair!'”
While viewers wait to find out if Aidan and Adam end up clashing over Maria, producer Kate Oates recently hinted that Adam, played by Sam Robertson, will continue to ruffle a few feathers.
“There’s maybe some old scores that he’d like to settle,” she teased.
“He has come a long way from Canada, to be with Ken.
“But that might not be the only reason why he’s come home, there may be other things that prevent him from returning home and meaning that he has to earn a living.”
