Givenchy is set to launch childrenswear in 2017.
Riccardo Tisci helms the luxury French fashion house, and is known for his work with stars like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna.
He‘s previously gifted Kim with mini Givenchy offerings for, North, her three-year-old daughter with husband Kanye West. The pair were even snapped in matching black lace outfits from the label at the September 2014 Givenchy catwalk show during Paris Fashion Week.
Tisci has also custom made a couture gown for Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy, now four, for a photoshoot in 2013.
WWD reports the kid’s clothes will be available for fall 17, with retailers already beginning to order stock. It’s thought 100 to 150 premium retailers in Europe, the Middle East, the U.S. and Asia will be carrying the new line. Stores should start receiving deliveries from July.
The collection will cater for children of all ages, from babies and infants from one month to three years, through to four year olds to 12. There will be pieces available for both boys and girls.
Tisci will be producing two children’s collections a year, made up of 60 pieces for girls, 40 for boys and 30 for babies, Givenchy executives told WWD. Special items like black teddy bears will also be on offer.
Prices will range from $96.30 (£76) for a T-shirt to $321 (£254) and up for coats. Babywear will retail from $85.60 (£68) to $149.80 (£119).
A couture capsule collection for girls reprising iconic Givenchy couture dresses in smaller sizes is also in the pipeline.
