Jennifer Aniston is keen to make a return to the small screen, because she believes “television is where it’s at”.
The 47-year-old actress starred as Rachel Green in hit U.S. TV show Friends from 1994 to 2004, with the programme making history as one of the world’s most successful television series.
And while Jennifer has gone on to feature in movies such as Office Space, Horrible Bosses and Cake, she is now thinking about staging a television comeback.
Chatting to her friend Chelsea Handler on her Netflix chat show, Jennifer was asked if she’d be interested in doing something for television or a streaming service like Netflix.
“We’re so all over that,” Jennifer replied. “Television is where it’s at. I really do believe the shows are more interesting, there’s more opportunity for women.”
Shows that have been successful on the small screen in recent months include comic book adaptations like Arrow and Supergirl. And while Jennifer has yet to be offered a role in that genre, she wouldn’t rule it out.
“I would be psyched!” she admitted when asked how she would react if she were offered a superhero part. “But I would want to be the really uncoordinated superhero. Because I couldn’t take myself seriously, leaping out of somewhere in a full-leather something.”
Jennifer has been doing the rounds for her new movie Office Christmas Party. And as she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (29Nov16), Jennifer took part in a game of Never Have I Ever with the host.
The game, usually a drinking game, involves having to admit when you have done something the other person has never done. When Ellen read out “Never have I ever joined the mile high club” from her placard, both she and Jennifer raised their “I have” paddles in unison. Ellen then followed that up by saying “Never have I ever joined the mile high club in the cockpit”, to which only Jennifer raised her paddle.
