Sarah Jessica Parker is to launch a pop-up store in Washington D.C. just in time for Christmas.
The stylish star has stunned her fans by announcing her first stand-alone shop will not open for business in her beloved New York City.
Instead, SJP is heading to the U.S. capital.
The actress-turned-fashion icon’s new boutique will open to the public on 9 December (16) at new luxury retail center MGM National Harbor.
Previously, her shoe and accessories line was only available through retailers like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom.
“Opening a standalone store has long been a dream we have been working towards and we feel truly privileged to be doing so with the expertise, guidance and support of our brilliant partners at MGM Resorts,” Parker said in a statement released on Tuesday (29Nov16). “It’s been very exciting to have been involved in all steps of the process, from on-site construction visits to the actual layout and design of our boutique. I’m honoured to be included in this massive undertaking.”
The new store will carry Parker’s new line little black dresses, which she launched in September (16), shoes and accessories.
The actress made the pop-up store even more official on Tuesday by posting a photo of herself on site with contractors on Instagram.
She added the caption: “Today I reveal every detail of our long held secret! After many trips on @amtrak (train) to DC, on-site construction visits, meetings on design and curating a very special collection we are opening our first standalone @sjpcollection store inside the brand new @mgmnationalharbor.
“The big launch is on December 8th and I’m counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until we officially open the doors. Because perhaps then I will actually believe it’s real.”
