STRICTLY Come Dancing star Danny Mac has revealed he suffers “panic attacks” ahead of the live shows every weekend.
The former Hollyoaks actor revealed he has been suffering “anxiety attacks” since joining the show, despite being tipped to win the series.
Danny scored maximum marks on Strictly Come Dancing weekend, wowing the judges and fans with his sexy Samba with dance partner Oti Mabuse.
But this hasn’t stopped Danny fearing he will mess up on the show, and the fear is affecting his sleep.
The actor revealed he’s never panicked this much in his life, worrying he could forget his moves and ruin his chances.
Speaking to the Mirror, Danny explained he was “exhausted” by being woken up by the attacks ahead of each performance.
He revealed: “I’ve had anxiety attacks. I’ve panicked like I have never panicked in my life.

“It’s strange to be woken up in the middle of the night. It’s going through my head all the time. It’s exhausting.”
Danny continued: “You start to think 10 million people are watching. You’d never get that even in the biggest arena in the world. So you’re very aware of how big it is.
Planning to avoid any major injury on the show after training eight hours a day, Danny revealed his secret behind relieving his muscles.
Danny soaks his body in ice baths after the show, something his fiancée Carley Stenson finds hilarious according to the star.
He said: “It has helped my muscles because they do take a battering. I’m doing whatever I can to prevent injury.”
Danny continued: “Everyone has had their fair share of drama when it comes to injuries. Luckily I have been OK so far.”
Being the favourite to win the show for the past few weeks, his latest performance had a lot of people feeling flustered.
He made show history this weekend too – the first celebrity to score a 40 for a Samba on the BBC series.
Danny had his shirt open during the dance, with his incredible physique on full show.
As he and Oti performed some amazing and steamy dance moves, viewers couldn’t take their eyes off of the pair.
Meanwhile, the judges were left speechless by the dance with Bruno needing a cool down as he praised the “exotic” dance.
He told them: “It was like watching a pagan mating ritual, magnificent and exotic.”
Craig Revel Horwood also praised the dance, admitting he was “distracted” by Danny’s top being unbuttoned.
He said: “I found the open shirt a slight distraction. Your hip acton, we never get that from a male celebrity, it was incredible.”
