will.i.am feels blessed to be collaborating with Kendall Jenner and Naomi Campbell on his new headphones.
The music star turned technology entrepreneur recently launched his own Bluetooth headphones, i.am+ BUTTONS, which Kendall and Naomi are fronting.
It’s not just their looks that will has tapped into though, but also their creative input for the venture.
“Because I was a part of Beats (now owned by Apple) and that success, when I started this company, I wanted to make sure I had other folks I can bounce ideas off and can consult and help make some noise,” will told #legend magazine.
“We’re so blessed to have them as a part of this… Naomi is the queen of fashion and Kendall is the princess.”
i.am+ BUTTONS launched last month (Nov16), with will posing alongside the two models in campaign shots. will wears his trademark hat and glasses combo in one shot with Kendall, who wows in a white dress with matching headphones.
The inspiration for the design came from the shape of vinyl records, with each earphone constructed from spun metal and woven cord. The earphones are intended to blend the line between fashion and technology, something Black Eyed Peas singer will feels strongly about.
“It took me a while to find garments that make me feel like me, and we all have this same feeling when we then have to go out and buy devices that don’t look like anything that we’re wearing,” he told Refinery29. “Why does the accessory only favour the phone and not my outfit? There has to be some middle ground between the two worlds.”
